It's been another busy week in the Turner household. All babies are doing great with weight gains and health visitor happy to make her visits every 2 weeks. Mum, Nan, and Becky also managed a trip to Twins club in Hungerford. Really good to mix with other patents and swap notes!Mum, Sandra and Poppy got mobbed in Sainsbury's Swindon. Mini bus of old ladies piled out and surrounded them and lots of questions. Even white van man stopped rolled down the window and fired questions at Mum! One older chap just about got run over he was so eager to get across the road to see the babies, his wife had to restrain him at the road side, until it was all clear. Dad on duty over night at the weekend. Gave me opportunity to put Pork belly in the oven at 6am! Heston's 9 hour cooking time mean you need to get it on early! Saturday afternoon Mum and Dad escaped for 2 hour for pub lunch and Nan looked after the babies! Sunday saw a record quick feed at 12 noon. All hands to feeding and done in just over an hour. Then out to Burford for afternoon tea! Managed to find a table / space big enough at The Lamb Inn. Lots of people stopped to ask questions and see the babies. Really good beer as well, Cotswold Ale, very good indeed. Boy had beer before tea an cake! Even got back home for 4pm feed! So all in all a busy week. Some of the boys clothes are getting small now so need to resort their wardrobe!
Been a busy weekend with another trip out to Newbury. Change and feed in Mothercare, shopping for baby's stuff, Boots and then tea in M&S! Sunday saw Dads first Fathers Day with top cards, chocolates and custom quad mug! Huge roast leg of lamb and Freda Great Nan came round to see the babies. All pretty tired this weekend lack of sleep is catching up with everyone, even after Saturday night off due to help from Lynette and Poppy and Jade! Huge help getting night off! It's been another busy week in the Turner Quad House this week. Wednesday saw huge weight gains from all the babies! Boys now 6.5 lbs and girls both 5.5 lbs. Wednesday evening Dad picked up the new vehicle to enable us all to travel in one vehicle. The VW Transporter 140 bhp, shuttle LWB, 9 seater is great. Thursday saw a trip to the hospital for eye tests! Mum left at 11am and home at 7pm! Need to fit feeds and nappy changes in as well as the appointment! Thursday 13th was also the babies official due date!!!!! Mum and Nan very tired and luckerly Poppy and Lynette as well as Jade have offered to look after the babies for the night so were all off to bed for 6 hours plus, fantastic or what! A busy Saturday with a trip out to eastbury fete. One slight issue in that fete not till Sunday. Just as well Dad made pack up for everyone! Had picnic on East Garston villeage green, nice to have an hours rest and relaxation! It's been a huge 3 weeks since last update! Spent 2 nights at RBH Hospital to get to grips with looking after the Turner Quads on our own! Very little sleep, as feeds taking up to 4 hours and 4 hourly feed cycles. Max of 2 hours sleep in 24 hours. Makes for very tired parents. Checked out Saturday evening and headed home in two support vehicles! Arrived home at gone 8pm straight into nappy change and feed. Need to get more organised, but learning rapidly. VW kindly provided a loan vehicle / mpv to enable everyone to go out in one car. Made the most of it with a number of trips out. First shopping trip to Mothercare Newbury and feeding session in M&S. Got stopped by loads of people. Including lady who's daughter Poppy wants to help out prior to nursing course. She's been amazing as has her mother Lynette, including offering looking after babies on a Friday night so we could get a full 7 hours sleep. Fantastic!!!! Back to hospital for eye test in VW MPV, all good and no issues at all with their eyes! Then did dinner at Peasant Inn on route home, called in advance to check changing facilities and book large space in restaurant! All good with changing facilities and large area of restaurant reserved for us. Babies all happy post feed and lots of people coming to see them in restaurant, news spreads fast. Also made it back to Newbury bank holiday Sunday, with change and feed in John Lewis and first trip to pub! Couple this with trips to doctors for reflux for Lauren, and first immunisation jabs it's been a very busy couple of weeks. Everyone putting on weight as confirmed by health visitor, Joshua coming in at 6lb! Way to go, girls a little behind with Lauren 4lbs 15 oz, Emily 5lbs 3 oz and James at 5lbs 12 oz. Keep it up girls and boys! |
